The Story Behind It All

I have always been crafty and loved making custom gifts people were proud to wear or display. In early 2020, I had the idea to make a business out of this— making money doing what I love! I converted a corner space of my home into a workshop and began creating meaningful, high-quality custom pieces to sell to friends, family and the local community. That quickly blossomed and I began working with local businesses to create logos and custom merchandise.

Fueled by late nights, long weekends, and a whole lot of passion I continued to grow this “side hustle” into a fully operational small business while working a “day job” and being a fully present mom of two.

As the business anniversary approached in February of 2026, I made the leap I had been dreaming of for years — with my husband’s steady support and confidence in me, I left my corporate job and purchased the apparel printing business from KS Decoration (Kevin Smith Sports Connection) to expand Chrystie Jean Design into my full-time career. That moment marked a new chapter — one built on growth, commitment, and a deeper investment in serving the community with even greater capabilities.

Throughout this journey, one phrase has been my foundation: “Some people pursue happiness, others create it.” What started as a personal motto became a mission statement — #CreateHappiness.

Today, Chrystie Jean Design stands for quality, creativity, and dedication. From small custom gifts to large-scale apparel projects, every order is handled with care and attention to detail. I’m incredibly grateful to my loyal customers that have grown with me and I’m excited to see what's ahead.
